The words that killed my love of video games

[This list may grow over time]

Firmware update (If you have a PS3 then you know exactly what I mean)
Timed exclusive
Downloadable content (DLC)
Fanboy (We all need something to love. Get over yourselves)
Waggle.
Rage quit
"Dual Wield" (Contrary to popular belief, Halo was not the first game to let you use two of the same weapon at the same time)
Subscription
"Triple A!" (In the sense of a "Triple A!" game/title1)
Expansion Pack
Pre-order
Midnight release (Honestly, it sounds like the sort of thing that a young man going through puberty is apt to be privy to which is oddly fitting considering the audience now that I think about it.)

That's all for now. I'm going to quit the game industry this week at least for a little while so that I can regroup. Frankly I'm not impressed by what I've seen in the past couple of years working with console developers. HTML5 gives promise in WebGL but I'm not yet ready to tackle that task. Wish me luck wherever I end up. I'm trying to choose between metal working and backpacking the world.
